  • The Main Synagogue of Stockholm was built in the years 1861-1870. The building was designed by Fredrik Wilhelm Scholander. The organ was put into use at the same day as the building, on September 16 or 17, 1870. The firm of Åkerman & Lund installed a two-manual organ with sixteen stops in the building. In 1909 it was converted by the same company and expanded with one register.
  • In 1962 the organ was replaced by a completely new instrument, supplied by the company Jehmlich from Dresden.
  • Given here is the original specification from 1870.
