Complete description of the selected organ
Eußerthal, Deutschland (Rheinland-Pfalz) - Klosterkirche Eußertal (Katholische Pfarrkirche)
Municipal: Eußerthal
Address: Kirchstraße 16, 76857, Eußerthal

Description nr.: 2074511.

Built by: Hugo Wehr (1978)

The fiormer Zisterzienser Klosterkirche in Eußerthal dates from the twelfth and thirteenth centuries. The monastery was closed in 1561. In the eighteenth century the church was consecrated as a parish church. In 1827 a second-hand organ was installed by Augustinus Hartung, built in 1723 for the parish church in Maikammer. This instrument was extensively rebuilt and was replaced in 1967 by a small organ by Hugo Wehr with eleven registers. Because this organ was too small for the large church, it was sold to the Sankt Konradkirche in Speyer in 1978 and replaced by a new and larger organ, also by Hugo Wehr.
