In 1981 Paul Ott built a new organ for the Jakobuskirche in Frankenthal. It has nineteen stops, with three transmissions on the pedal. The church building was designed by Emil Wachter and is located on the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostella. The church is used by the Roman Catholic parish and the Protestant church in Frankenthal.
