Municipal: Kaiserslautern
Address: Rochusweg 2, 67661, Kaiserslautern

Description nr.: 2073781.

Built by: Freiburger Orgelbau H. Späth (1968)
The organ contains older material: from by G.F. Steinmeyer und Co.
Demolished (2021)

  • The previous organ of the Sankt Rochuskirche in Hohenecken was a curious instrument. It was purchased in 1968, after the church had recovered from a fire. The organ was supplied by August Späth. Several parts are by Steinmeyer, but Späth probably put together an organ from various used material. The windchest of the Hauptwerk ran to f''', that of the Oberwerk to g''', but the keyboards ran to c''''. The Subbaß of the pedal was located in the swell box at the Hauptwerk.
  • The organ was demolished in 2021, when a better second-hand organ could be taken over from a church that was about to close.
