Replaced with new organ (2002)
Under the advice of Vilho Putero, the Kangasala firm built a four-manual organ for the Mikaelinkirkko in Turku in 1964. The front was designed by Pekka Pitkänen. The organ replaced a 1907 Walcker & Cie. instrument, which was the first organ in the church, that had been consecrated in 1905. Due to technical problems, the Kangasala organ was dismantled on 13 and 14 August 2001 and sold in parts. Subsequently, a new organ was built by Grönlunds Orgelbyggeri, designed in French-romantic style.
