- In Verviers the Jesuits opened a new school (College) in 1857 in the Rue de Rome. A new chapel was constructed next to the school in 1872-1873, dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The organ in the chapel of the Collège Saint-François-Xavier in Verviers was built in 1873-1875 by Pierre Schyven & Cie. All stops of the Récit and the Pédale are transmissions from Grand Orgue, except for two stops of the Récit. The organ is entirely placed inside the swell box, except for the prospect pipes. The organ was dedicated in 1876.
- In 1972 André Thomas renovated the organ. He modified the stop list: the Gambe 8' was altered to be a Flûte 4', the original Fourniture was modified to a Sesquialter, and a new Fourniture was installed. The Cor 16' (reed stop) was removed from Grand Orgue.
- The organ was for sale in 1997, the chapel has been demolished in 1998. It is uncertain what has happened with the instrument.
