  • The village church of Soiron, dedicated to Saint-Roch, was built in the years 1723-1730. It is assumed that a new organ was also installed in 1730, probably a donation of the family Woelmont, which also donated all the furniture of the new church. The organ case suggests that it was constructed in this period. It is almost sure that the original instrument had three manuals (Grand Orgue, Positif de Dos and Écho). The maker is unknown.
  • After the French Revolution the organ was not playable anymore. Soldiers did loot the metal pipes from the organ. Ferdinand -Joseph Rifflart reconstructed a two-manual organ in the cases in 1804 or 1815. He used materials from two second hand organs (from the Abbaye de Boneffe and from the Dames Blanches of Huy).
  • The instrument was repaired in 1861 by Arnold-Joseph Grandorge. Work was carried out on the organ around 1867, and in 1892 Charles Anneessens carried out a restoration. The wind chest of the Grand Orgue could be from Anneessens, that of the Positif is from Rifflart. On the Positif there is one empty slide, prepared for a Cymbale 2 ranks.
