The First Congregational Church in Hinsdale, New Hampshire, was dedicated in 1836. A pipe organ was bought in 1881, a second hand instrument, built by Elias and George G. Hook in 1849 for the First Congregational Church in Springfield, MA. When a new organ was installed in Springfield, the old one was put for sale. It was relocated to Hinsdale by Steere & Turner.
