The Martinskirche in Hessigheim has an organ since 1784, when Johann Michael Bühler built the first instrument in the choir of the church. In 1861 this instrument was replaced by a new Weigle organ on a gallery on the westside of the church with a newgothic facade. This organ was removed during a major renovation of the interior of the church. A new organ with sixteen stops was built hereafter by Walcker (opus 4755) in 1965, again in the choir. But also this organ was replaced: in 1993 a new instrument was built by Reinhart Tzschöckel with thirteen stops. Some ranks of Walcker have been re-used. The new organ was placed on the floor of the church in the north east corner of the church nave.
