For the Franciscanian monastry in Sint Niklaas a new church was built in 1925, designed by Gustave Volckaert. On September 21, 1936, a new pipe organ was dedicated. The instrument was built by the company H. Van de Loo of Leuven. The inauguration cocnert was played by Clément D'Hooghe, organist of the Saint Paul's Church in Antwerp.
