Saint John's Church is gebouwd in 1866-1867 naar ontwerp van de architecten Vahland & Getzschmann. George Fincham leverde in 1879 een pijporgel voor de kerk, dat op 21 november 1867 in gebruik werd genomen. In 1907 is het orgel binnen de kerk verplaatst. Leighton Turner voerde in 1979 een restauratie uit. Het orgel is nooit gewijzigd.
