The Kapernaumkirche in München-Lerchenauer See was dedicated on October 6, 1968. The building was designed by Reinhard Riemerschmid. An organ was installed in 1976, which was inaugurated on December 19, 1976. The instrument was built in 1948 by the Steinmeyer firm for the Christuskirche in München-Neuhausen. A new organ was placed in this church in 1966. The Steinmeyer organ was rebuilt by the firm Deininger & Renner and transferred to the Kapernaumkirche. The original Terzcymbel of the Schwellwerk was modified, and the pedal was expanded with a new Posaune 16'.
