1950 Münchener Orgelbau Schuster  new organ
2009 Dieter Schingnitz  restoration

  • After the Second World War, the Theatinerkirche in Munich was rebuilt in the old style. Karl Schuster installed a two-manual organ in 1950. After the church building was completely completed, a new main organ was built behind the altar by the firm Eisenbarth. This organ got a console with five manuals. The Schuster organ, now called 'Seiten-Orgel', is played from manuals IV and V of the main console.
  • In 2009 the organ was restored by Dieter Schingnitz. During this work, the Pommer 4' of the Hauptwerk was replaced by an Oktave 2'.
