- The village church of Schwaben was enlarged in the years 1899-1901. In connection with this, a new organ was also ordered from Richard Kreutzbach, a two-manual organ with ten stops. The enlarged church and organ were dedicated on June 14, 1901. The front was designed by Richard Schleinitz, architect in Dresden, with characteristic Art Nouveau elements. Unfortunately, the original Art Nouveau decoration was removed later.
- The original front pipes were requisitioned in 1917 and were later replaced by zinc pipes. In 1950 the organ was modified by Hans Michel. The Aeoline was replaced by a Flöte 2', and the Gambe by a Blockflöte 2'. The composition of the Mixtur was altered to make it sound higher.
- In 1980 the disposition was changed again during a revision by Siegfried Müller and Arwed Rietzsch. They placed the Flöte 2' of the second manual on the first, where the Blockflöte was removed. An Oktave 2' was now placed on the second manual, from the Walcker organ (1876) of the Lukaskirche in Zwickau-Planitz.
