The organ contains older material: Pipes from 1877 by Joseph Merklin
In 1968 Jean Bourgarel built a new organ for Notre-Dame du Port in Clermont-Ferrand. Pipework by Joseph Merklin was used in the construction, taken from the church's previous organ, which had been built in 1877. In 1988 the organ was completely rebuilt by Jean David.
