In 1860-1861 the Gheude brothers built an organ for Notre-Dame in Villers-la-Ville. The organ was placed in a gallery on the west side of the nave. In 1925 or 1946 it was moved to a smaller gallery in the north transept. There was not enough space here, so that the organ was partly placed in the ceiling. In that last year the company D'Hondt worked on the organ. They installed a new free-standing console and removed the reed stops (although it is possible that these were never installed in fact). The organ then fell into disrepair and was demolished in or shortly after 1971. A small positive of Schumacher was placed in the church.
