Begin 1897 voltooide Gottfried Hildebrand een nieuw orgel voor de kerk van Mockau, bij Leipzig. Het orgel werd gebouwd in het kader van een restauratie van het kerkgebouw. Het werd gekeurd door de heer Graefe uit Wurzen. Sinds 1926 heeft de kerk de naam Stephanuskirche. Het orgel is in 1955 door Hermann Lahmann gerestaureerd en de dispositie is daarbij ingrijpend gewijzigd.
