Early in 1897, Gottfried Hildebrand completed a new organ for the church in Mockau, near Leipzig. The organ was built as part of a restoration of the church building. It was inspected by Mr. Graefe from Wurzen. Since 1926, the church has been called the Stephanuskirche. The organ was restored in 1955 by Hermann Lahmann and the disposition was drastically changed.
