The Schottenkirche in Regensburg is a former church of the Benedictine Abbey. It is called Schottenkirche, because the monks of the monastry came from Ireland and Scotland. The church is dedicated to Sankt Jakob. The buildings date from the 11th century. In 1862 the seminary of the Diocese of Regensburg was settled in the monastry buildings. The church was renovated and dedicated in 1874. Willibald Siemann built a two-manual organ with eighteen stops, that was installed on the gallery at the west side of the nave.
