In 1850, Aristide Cavaillé-Coll built an organ with pull down pedals and six stops with the aim of placing it as a choir organ in the cathedral of Saint-Brieuc. Whether it is placed there is not clear. The organ was installed in 1854 in the Église Saint-Nicolas in Loudéac in Brittany. The instrument has been overhauled several times. In 1960 Michel and André Mack expanded the disposition with two new stops (Quinte 2 2/3' and Tierce 1 3/5'). Jean-Pascal Villard carried out a restoration in 1991. The stops from 1960 were removed again. Maintenance was carried out in 2010 by Hervé Caill.
