In 1871-1872 a new Protestant church was built in Frankenstein in the Palatinate. The organ was constructed in 1914 by Steinmeyer. Gerhard Kuhn built a new organ in Steinmeyer's organ case in 1981. He also used some of the old organ's pipework.
