The Sankt Josefkirche in Merzig was built in 1959. The Klais organ from 1935 from the old emergency church was transferred at first, but was replaced in 1966 by a completely new three-manual organ from the Alfred Führer company. The Klais organ was sold to the Capuchin monastery in Besseringen.
