- In 1906 Johannus Magnusson built a new organ for Sofia Kyrka in Stockholm. This church was also dedicated that year. It was a two-manual organ with 24 stops, mechanical-pneumatic action and Roosevelt chests. The front was designed by Gustaf Hermansson, the church's architect.
- In the years 1948-1951 the church building was renovated and expanded. Under the advice of Otto Olsson, the organ has also been expanded to three manuals. In fact, a new organ has been built, using pipework and windchests from the previous one. The new facade was designed by Lars Israel Wahlman. Some minor disposition modifications were made in 1971: on manual III the Violin 8' and the Eufon 8' were replaced by a Larigot 1 1/3' and a Regal 4'.
- The English company Nicholson & Co. completed a new three-manual organ with 58 stops in 2013. The casework and a great deal of the pipework was retained from the previous organ. The new organ has two identical consoles, one fixed in the gallery and one mobile on the ground floor.
