In 1957 bouwde Austin Organ Company een nieuw orgel voor de rooms-katholieke kathedraal in Cincinnati. Het vorige orgel, eveneens gebouwd door Austin in 1927, werd verkocht aan het Mount Saint Mary Seminary in Norwood, waar het nog enkele tientallen jaren dienst heeft gedaan. Het nieuwe instrument werd in 1976 uitgebreid met één register en een transmissie. In 1987 is het geheel herbouwd met moderne electrische tracturen door Schaedle Pipe Organ Services.
