- The oldest part of the Pfarrkirche Sankt Marien in Weidingen dates back to 1396. In 1500 the building was greatly enlarged and since then it was heavily damaged twice during wars. The church got its current shape in 1771, the entrance was built in 1776, the tower in 1783. The organ room in the Pfarrkirche Sankt Marien in Weidingen dates from 1776. The organ itself can also be dated to that period. The builder and original specification are unknown. The organ was expanded in 1858 and restored in the winter of 1886 by the firm Gebr. Breidenfeld from Trier.
- After repairs and modifcation by Johannes Klais in 1902-1903, the organ was put back into use on October 11, 1903. The organ was probably made pneumatically in the latter year. The organ, as well as the rest of the church building, was restored in around 2005.
