The Himmelfahrtskirche in Cranzahl was built in 1910. The organ was put into use a year later. It was built by Emil and Bruno Jehmlich. The previous church housed a smaller organ by Jehmlich from 1900, of which most of the pipework was probably reused. The organ was restored in 1954-1955 by Jehmlich. Helmut Lorenz was the consultant. The disposition has been changed. The organ was inaugurated again on May 22, 1955.
