De Sankt Josephkirche in Mainz is gebouwd in de jaren 1956-1957 op dezelfde plek als de voorgaande neogotische kerk, die in 1945 door bombardementen werd verwoest. De nieuwe kerk is in oktober 1957 gewijd. De firma Kemper voltooide in 1965 een tweeklaivers orgel.
