- The Sankt Ignaz-Kirche in Mainz was built in a late Baroque style in the years 1763-1774. Josef Anton Onimus built an organ for the church with three manuals and pedal and 31 stops. It was completed in 1781. The prospect was designed by J.P. Metz.
- In 1836 the work of Onimus was replaced by a new instrument, a two-manual organ with 36 stops, built by Bernhard Dreymann, still using the organ case of 1781. Christian Heinrich Rinck examined the instrument on January 31, 1838. In 1903 the company Balthasar Schlimbach & Sohn carried out a renovation, whereby the stop list was modified. In 1974 the instrument was restored by Erich Breitmann.
- The company Eule Orgelbau carried out a restoration in the years 2015-2019. The specification of 1838 was reconstructed. The wind supply has also been rebuild in the original lay-out.
