In 1719 Johann Christoph Egedacher built an organ for the parish church of Pfarrkirchen im Mühlkreis. The instrument was rebuilt and expanded by Josef Breinbauer in 1874. In 1994 Bruno Riedl carried out a restoration. The situation of 1874 has been taken as the starting point. New prospect pipes have been installed. Riedl made new keyboards, using the organ in Kalsching in the Czech Republic as an example and he expanded the pedal size to eighteen keys (C-f °). Finally, a new cabinet for the bellows has been made at the rear of the organ.
