1968 Willi Peter  new organ in old case

  • In the years 1778-1779 Johann Mattheus Wyskirchen built a new organ for the Église Saint-Hubert in Aubel. The instrument had nineteen stops on two manuals and pulldown pedals. In 1875 the organ was restored by Pereboom & Leijser.
  • The old church of Aubel was replaced in 1910 by a new neo-gothic building. The old organ was not transfered to this church, but a new instrument was installed in 1913. The old organ was then sold to a private person, who used it as a decoration piece in the Château de Strouvenbosch (or Stroevenbos), in Sint-Pieters-Voeren (Fouron-Saint-Pierre).
  • In 1968 the organ case was used by Willi Peter for a new organ in the Theresienkirche in Aachen. It replaced an instrument by Carl Bach from 1953.
