  • Anton Behmann built an organ for the Sankt Jodokuskirche in Mittelberg in 1886. It was a two-manual organ with twelve stops, built with mechanical action and cone chests. In 1952 it was rebuilt by Josef Zeilhuber according to plans by Karl Winter, cathedral organist in Freiburg im Breisgau. The action was converted to pneumatics. The disposition was changed and extended to twenty-one registers. Four stops of the pedal are transmissions of the second manual.
  • In 2016, the organ was examined by Alfons Zeilhuber, because a restoration was necessary. Four proposals were formulated: restoration as the organ had become, reconstruction of the original Behmann organ, restoration of the organ with reconstruction of the original disposition with extensions in the style of Behmann, and this same plan with reconstruction of the mechanical action. In 2022, the implementation of the third plan started. The new registers were made after examples by Behmann.
