Max März built a new organ for the Sankt Nikolauskirche in Mitterndorf in 1876, to replace an old instrument that was placed in the church in 1846. The new organ was restored in 1920 by the Behler & Waldenmaier firm. They expanded the instrument with two registers. In 1935 the organ was rebuilt by the same company. The prospect was also modifed. In 2000 the organ was replaced by a new organ. A part of the pipework was reused.
