The organ in the Sint Salvatorkerk in Wieze was built in 1861-1862 by Joseph Merklin for Viscount De Clerque Wissocq in Ghent. It was played by Alphonse Mailly on this occasion. In 1867 the owner donated the organ to the parish church of Wieze. The instrument was initially placed on the church floor. In 1878 it was given a place on the new rood screen. In the years 2009 to 2011, the Flentrop company carried out a restoration. The organ was returned to service on February 23, 2011.
