Ferdinand Stieffell bouwde in de jaren 1772-1776 zijn eerste grote orgel voor de parochiekerk in Ettenheim. Het orgel werd in de negentiende eeuw verschillende keren gerepareerd. In de jaren 1873-1875 volgde een ingrijpende verbouwing door Johann Heinrich Schaefer. In 1898 breidde August Merklin het orgel uit. In 1917 werden de frontpijpen gevorderd. Tenslotte viel het doek definitief voor het oude binnenwerk, toen Friedrich Wilhelm Schwarz in 1922 een nieuw pneumatisch orgel in de oude kas plaatste. In de jaren 1971-1973 is door Peter Vier een nieuw orgel gebouwd in de historische kas.
