Year | Builder | Opus | Activity | 1776 | Olof Schwan | new organ | 1833 | Karl Wirth | rebuild | 1902 | Albanus Jurva | restoration | 1979 | Veikko Virtanen | reconstruction | 1979 | Hans Heinrich | reconstruction |
- In 1776 Olof Schwan built an organ for the Sankt Katharinen-Kirche in Saint Petersburg. In 1833 the instrument was rebuilt and renewed by Karl Wirth. The organ case largely dates from this time, and no pipe work from 1776 is present anymore. In connection with the construction of a new organ, the old instrument was sold in 1875 to Myrskylä Kirkko (Mörskoms Kyrka). Albanus Jurva carried out a restoration in 1902.
- The organ had been in poor condition for a long time. Asko Rautioaho drew up a plan for a reconstruction based on the situation in 1833, but deviated from the specification of that time. The work was carried out in 1978-1979 by the organ builders Veikko Virtanen and Hans Heinrich. In addition to pipework by Wirth and Jurva, three registers by Theodor Buchert have been installed. The rest of the material is newly manufactured. The organ was inaugurated on December 9, 1979.
