Built by: Moritz Baumgarten (1846)
The organ in the Sankt Nikolauskirche in Pretzsch was built in 1846 by Moritz Baumgarten. The prospect pipes were requisitioned in 1917, and they were not replaced by new zinc pipes until 1953 by Eduard Fritz Köhler. Köhler altered the disposition of the second manual and the pedal in 1960. The Flauto Dolce 8' was replaced by a Rohrflöte 8', the Flöte 2' by a Waldflöte 2', and the Oktave 1' by a Cymbel 3 fach. On the pedal, the Oktavbass 4' and the Posaune 16' were replaced by a Choralbaß 4' and a Rauschpfeife 3 fach. ainer Wolter carried out a restoration in 2002-2003. The original disposition has not been reconstructed.
