Op 10 december 1992 ging Saint Agnes Roman Catholic Church in New York in vlammen op. Het orgel, dat op dat moment gestemd werd, ging geheel verloren. Na herbouw van de kerk liet men de firma Mander een nieuw instrument bouwen met twee manualen en pedaal. Adviseurs bij de bouw waren Richard Porterfield, organist van de kerk, en Barbara Owen. Het orgel is op 5 oktober 1998 in gebruik genomen met een concert door Kent Tritle en Gerre Hancock.
