In the years 1858-1863 a new church was built in Uusikaupunki or Nystad. The building was designed by Georg Theodor Chiewitz. In 1865, Gabriel Ceder donated an organ to the church, which was built by the firm of Marcussen & Søn. It is a two-manual organ with 28 registers. The stop list was altered in 1924 by Kangasalan Urkutehdas. They added an Aeoline and a Voix Céleste, and some other modifications were carried out. In 1978 the organ was restored by the firm Bröderna Moberg. The original disposition has been reconstructed.
