The Sankt Josefkirche in Oldenburg-Bümmerstede is a modern church building with a striking architecture. The church building was built in 1965, replacing a temporary emergency building from 1951. In 1987, construction of a new pipe organ was started by the company Siegfried Sauer. Consultants were Werner Haselier and Oliver Dierks. On December 16, 1989, the organ was inaugurated with a performance by Annette Broll.
