1701 Johann Jacob John  new organ
1850 Wilhelm Kramer  enlargement
1957 Werner Bosch  restoration
1983 Siegfried Sauer  restoration

  • In 1698 the parish in Hemer signed a contract with Andreas Schweimb for the construction of a new organ. However, Schweimb died on January 31, 1701, before the work had started. His foreman Johann Jacob John took over the contract and built the organ, an instrument with one manual and attached pedal.
  • In 1849/1850 it was restored and converted by Wilhelm Kramer. He made a two-manual organ with a free pedal using John's pipework. In 1917 the front pipes were requisitioned. These were replaced by new ones in 1934. Werner Bosch carried out a restoration in 1955-1957. Due to a church restoration, the organ was dismantled in 1981. Siegfried Sauer restored it in 1982-1983 and rebuilt it in the church. It was ready for use again at Easter 1983.
