- In 1849 Johann Georg Förster delivered an organ to the church in Steinbach in Hessen, near Fernwald. In 1870, Förster placed a new Salicional on the Hauptwerk and in 1873 the Positiv was expanded with a Physharmonika. The original prospect pipes were requisitioned in 1917 and replaced by zinc pipes in 1919. In 1977 the organ was completely restored by Förster & Nicolaus.
- The organ was overhauled by Förster & Nicolaus in 2021-2022.
