Municipal: Stans (Tirol)
Address: Oberdorf 49, 6135, Stans

Description nr.: 2010071.

Built by: Builder unknown (18e eeuw)

  • In the old parish church of Stans there is an Italian positive of unknown origin. It was probably built in the eighteenth century. The church building dates from the Middle Ages. An organ was installed in 1838, but this has disappeared. The church was decommissioned in 1896, after the consecration of the new and larger Herz Jesukirche elsewhere in the village.
  • The church was subsequently used for a variety of purposes, including an army warehouse, a horse stable and a theater. In connection with a restoration of the Herz Jesukirche, the old church was overhauled in 1982 and equipped for church use. It has remained that way ever since. The positive was placed in 1995.
