1790 Melchior Vorenweg  new organ
1891 Fleiter Orgelbau  modify stoplist
1974 firma Franz Breil  restoration

  • In 1790 Melchior Vorenweg built a new organ with two manuals and an attached pedal for the newly built church in Drensteinfurt. The organ case was made by the carpenter Freytag from Wolbeck.
  • The church building was rebuilt in 1890. Friedrich Fleiter was commissioned to overhaul and expand the organ. He made an independent pedal with three stops, added one register to the Hauptwerk and replaced four stops with others. He also renewed the front pipes and altered the composition of the Mixtur. The windchest of the main work was replaced. Fleiter increased the compass of the manuals from C-d''' (51 keys) to C-f''' (54 keys).
  • The organ was restored in 1974 by Franz Breil. The original disposition has been partly restored. The organ case has been restored by Paul Brumann from Ascheberg. Major maintenance was carried out in 2014.
