Built by: Rieger Orgelbau (1989)
The old church of Mellau had become too small, so in 1980 the construction of a completely new church was started. This was consecrated in 1982. Only the tower of the old church was preserved. The Behmann organ from the old church, built in 1876 and converted by the Gebrüder Mayer in 1950, was not transferred to the new church. After using an electronic organ for a few years, plans for a new pipe organ could be started in 1986. Consultant was Günther Fetz. The organ was built by Rieger Orgelbau and was consecrated on 21 January 1990. The organ was played on this occasion by Günther Fetz and Imelda Natter.
