The church of Wasmes burned down on February 23, 1986, as a result of which the Schyven organ from 1875 was lost. After rebuilding the church, a new organ was built in 2004 by Dominique Thomas. It was dedicated on May 8, 2005. On this occasion the organists Roland Biernaux, Michel Godart, Jean-Paul Claude and Léon Kerremans played the instrument. The organ has several Grand Orgue registers that can also be used on the Positif by means of a special slide construction ('Wechselschleifen').
