On August 31, 1980, a small positive was inaugurated in the chapel Onze Lieve Vrouw ter Ruste in Deerlijk. The organ was built by Philippe Busschaert. Three of the six stops were prepared for at the time of the inauguration. During the inauguration, organist was Bas van der Meyden, recorder players Frieda Depaemelaere and Jan Busschaert, the parish mixed choir Sint Cecilia and boy soprano Jan Naessens participated.
