In 1972, Willi Peter installed a three-manual organ in the main hall of the Mercatorhalle in Duisburg. Consultants were Josef Tönnes and Ernst Karl Rößler. The prospect was designed by Peter Voigtländer. The organ was inaugurated on September 10, 1972. The Mercatorhalle was demolished in 2005. The organ had been in storage ever since. In the new hall a new organ was built by Eule.
