The organ of the Saint-Jean-Baptiste in Nemours was built in 1653 by Pierre Desenclos and Jacques Lefebure. In 1703, François Thierry rebuilt the instrument. It was expanded in 1744 with a dorsal positive by Nicolas Collard. François Callinet rebuilt the pedal work in 1782. The organ has been preserved in this condition. However, the keyboard and bellows were renewed in 1849 during a restoration by the Callinet-Daublaine company. In 1933/1934 Victor Gonzalez carried out a restoration, which was concluded with an inauguration concert by André Marchal. Finally, the organ was thoroughly restored by Yves Koenig in the years 1985-1988. André Isoir played the inauguration concert on April 17, 1988.
