1895 Pereboom & Leijser  new organ
1965 André Thomas  rebuild
1995 André Thomas  restoration

  • The organ in the church of Stembert was installed in 1895 by the company Pereboom & Leijser. It replaced an older instrument, that had been installed as a second hand organ in 1804 by Joseph Binvignat. This organ had fourteen stops. The Pereboom & Leijser organ has seventeen stops on two manuals and pedal.
  • A restoration was carried out in 1965 by André Thomas under supervision of abbé Nolens. Nolens concluded that the Récit of the organ was installed earlier than the Grand Orgue. But the composition of the Récit was altered by Thoimas. Four new stops were installed here. The Fourniture of the Grand Orgue was replaced by a new one (4-5 ranks), and a Nasard 2 2/3' was added to the Grand Orgue.
  • André Thomas restored the organ again in 1995. Consultant was Hans-Georg Reinertz. The original Fourniture of Pereboom & Leijser was re-installed.
