- Peter Migendt built an organ for Princess Anna Amalie von Preußen (1723-1787) in 1756. She used it as a residence organ. Anna Amalia was a student of Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach. Around 1767 the organ was placed in the new palace Unter den Linden. After the death of Anna Amalia on March 30, 1787, it was transferred to the Schloßkirche in Berlin-Buch. In 1939 the organ was bought by the Mariengemeinde in Berlin, with the aim of installing it as a choir organ in the Nikolaikirche. It was disassembled by Schuke and transferred to the workshop in Potsdam for a thorough restoration. Thanks to this the organ still exists: the Schloßkirche was destroyed in 1943, the Nikolaikirche in 1945.
- The Schuke company restored the instrument in the years 1956-1960 and transferred it to Karlshorst. The organ was inaugurated on June 19, 1960 in the Evangelischen Kirche "Zur Frohen Botschaft" in Berlin-Karlshorst. It is the oldest organ in the city of Berlin.
- In 2009-2010, the organ was completely restored by Kristian Wegscheider. The original stoplist has been restored. The Trompete 8' of the Hauptwerk was replaced by a Flöt Dus 8', the Vox Humana 8'of the Oberwerk by a Salice 8' (treble) and the Trompete 8' of the Pedal with a Bass Flöt 8'. The restoration was concluded at the end of 2010 with a festive organ concert on December 10, 2010.
