The organ contains older material: from 1903 by Hinners Organ Company
In 1903 the Hinner Organ Company built a new organ for Rock Rapids United Methodist Church in Iowa. The instrument was built with mechanical action. Because the mechanism was in bad condition, a thorough overhaul was necessary in 1977. Lynn Dobson disassembled the entire instrument and made a technically new organ with most of the old pipework. The stop list was expanded. Most of the newly placed pipework is older material from the organ builder's stock, originating from various demolished organs. Fifteen stops have been re-used from Hinner. Consultant was Dean Thacker.
